All for positive growth this year

In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful…

Economists and analysts are very positive and optimistic on Malaysia’s economic growth this year. JP Morgan (here) so far has given the highest economic forecast of 7.7%, way higher than BNM’s estimate of 5 – 5.5% or 6% targeted by the Prime Minister. Singapore’s HSBC (here) projected that the growth will be 7.3%, mainly driven by export growth as the world economy starts its upward momentum. Credit Suisse, globally the number one investment research company, gave Malaysia a 6% growth (here) outlook after Najib’s meeting with top-notch fund managers at the annual Credit Suisse Asian Investment Conference in Hong Kong last month.

What do these forecasts mean? More job opportunities, more consumption and better balance sheets for companies after 2 years of economic slump. Happy faces for everyone. For Najib; better support for BN in the next GE.
